Wigan Players Pay Up for Loss
Recordswere set Sunday when Wigan faced Tottenham, and not the type of recordsany Wigan player or fan will ever want to remember. The 1-9romp/massacare/rout/disgrace (really pick any demeaning word for aloss) left fans questioning whether they were watching two EPL teamsplay or Tottenham take on the high school boys team who plays down theroad. The loss was the second worst in EPL history, if you are going toplay that poorly why not at least make it the worst so you can say youfinished in the top of some category.

NowWigan players are making a dramatic apology. Not only have playersapologized to fans, spoken of their shattered confidence, and shakentheir heads in dibeleif, now they are also digging into their ownpockets. The 565 Wigan fans who made the trip down to London will bereimbursed for their tickets.
