Rolling Rolling Rolling
You only need to see Chelsea's fourth goal at the Reebok today for amicrocasm of the teams current form. I have to be honest, I debated notwriting anything at all (to the delight of some, I'm sure). What reallyis there to say? Four games, 17 goals for, zero goals against. And theyget to travel to Spain for what is lining up to be another easy win inthe Champions League against Atletico.
But if Chelsea want toreally prove something they need to do it next weekend when they hostManchester United in what will likely be a 1 vs 2 match up. United arehaving problems with their back four (if you were to take Sir Alex'sword for it) and they will need to find the right mix before facingChelsea's attack. If Chelsea hog the ball as they have for the last twoweeks it will be difficult for United to deal with wave after wave ofpressure from the on-form Blues. So, basically, I'm feeling confidentas a Chelsea fan heading into their next league game (almost aguaranteed jinx, though).
By the way, I feel the need to reopenthe topic of the Chelsea midfield and fantasy soccer. It is beginningto look as if Lampard, Deco, Ballack and Essien are the preferred fourwhen Ancelotti is looking to field his strongest eleven. That said, Iwouldn't go loading up on these guys because it's still a rotationsystem and who knows what will happen when Mikel returns from injury.Plus, you have to figure that Joe Cole will be seeing some bigger gamesbased on how he has been playing. He got the day off, but I would beshocked if he isn't in the starting eleven in Madrid on Tuesday.
